The YCSO Deputy met with Mayer Schools Superintendent Dean Slaga about the request and he suggested students involved in the agricultural program might be interested. After speaking with the Ag class teacher, Mr. Douglas Martin, it was decided to offer the project to his first period senior class.
In October the Director of the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety awarded two traffic safety grants to the Prescott Police Department. These two grants total $40,000 and will assist the Prescott Police Department to continue our traffic safety programs.
30 year old Chino Valley resident Ashley Jordan, became involved by striking an officer in the face with her hand and shortly thereafter, pushing another officer. Officers later determine that Ashley Jordan was the originally reported disorderly subject. She was wearing a wedding dress and had apparently gotten married to Eric Cordova earlier in the day.
A detective specializing in property crimes was assigned to the case and after reviewing a complete list of stolen property, recalled a prior investigation involving 55-year-old James Hawthorne from Cottonwood.
